Drew Berkland is the Irish’s table-setter with pop
In the 2026 season, Notre Dame outfielder Drew Berkland was a lineup catalyst, hitting .330 with 73 hits, 68 runs, 16 home runs, 34 extra-base hits, and 11 steals while starting all 53 games and earning ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Second Team honors. He’s more than a stat line: Berkland brings leadoff energy, plus-grade on-base impact, and dependable center-field defense, making him the kind of high-motor, tone-setting player who can change a lineup’s vibe in a hurry. If you want speed, contact, and sneaky power from a competitive veteran, he’s an easy fit.
