Nate Johnson brings SEC-sized edge and bounce-back upside to Auburn
In the 2025 season at Missouri, Nate Johnson had a limited role with six tackles, but Auburn brought him in for his proven frame, experience, and edge versatility. The 6-foot-5, 263-pound senior has already shown he can be disruptive, with 77 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks over two seasons at Appalachian State before moving into the SEC. Auburn’s staff views him as a fit at both buck linebacker and defensive end, and his value is less about raw stat chasing and more about length, physicality, and a chance to help fill a thin edge room.
