Christian Pierce brings heat, not just tackles, to the Leathernecks’ linebacker room
In the 2025 season, Christian Pierce emerged as a disruptive, every-down linebacker for Western Illinois, piling up 100 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks while also showing playmaking juice with pass breakups and a forced fumble. He’s a high-motor, physical defender who plays with urgency and has the kind of downhill pop teams love in the middle of a defense. That production, plus captain-level leadership and strong academic standing, makes him more than a stat line: he looks like a tone-setter who fits best in an aggressive, attack-minded front.
