a veteran Grambling State edge presence with proven Texas toughness
Cody Dillard entered Grambling State as a 6-foot-2, 230-pound defensive lineman from Tyler CC, where he was a two-year starter and posted 34 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in his sophomore season; at Allen High he added 61 tackles, 17 quarterback hits, 15 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks in his senior year[2][7]. His value is the gritty, high-motor edge profile: he’s the kind of defender who earned captaincy, played with all-district consistency, and brings a ready-made run-and-pressure mindset that can translate well to a rotational DL role[2].
