McNeese’s former mauler turned line-of-scrimmage tone-setter
Kyle Link carved out his McNeese legacy by switching from tight end to offensive tackle, becoming a two-time all-conference and Southland Conference All-Academic honoree who was praised as a tremendous blocker and a key part of McNeese’s 2006 and 2007 championship teams. In 2007, he started on the offensive line after earlier playing tight end, where he had been big, strong, and effective enough to rank fourth on the team with 7 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in the 2006 season. If you want toughness, versatility, and a player coaches trust to move people, Link checks the box.
