Sara Phillips brings elite strikeout stuff and ace-level run prevention to Mississippi State
In the 2026 Mississippi State roster bio, Sara Phillips is listed as a pitcher who went 18-1 with 200 strikeouts in 120.1 innings as a sophomore, allowing just eight earned runs for a 0.47 ERA, which signals a dominant, high-upside arm[1]. She was also a MaxPreps First Team High School All-American and USA Today HSSA Softball Player of the Year nominee, pointing to a proven competitive pedigree[6]. If you want a pitcher who can miss bats, control games, and has already shown elite consistency, she fits the profile of a true staff anchor[1][6].
