Ole Miss’s lefty with upside, but still searching for the next leap
In the 2025 season, Cooper Johnson logged 4 appearances and 3.1 innings for Ole Miss, posting an 8.10 ERA with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks, so the raw results were uneven even as the Rebels kept him in the mix as a left-handed arm[2][7]. What makes him interesting is the profile: a 6-foot-4, 220-pound southpaw with team-fit value as a versatile depth piece, especially if he sharpens command and misses bats more consistently[2][7].
