Ameer Bennett

Defensive Anchor & Scoring Spark for Delaware State

Ameer Bennett, the 6'8", 220-lb Forward for Delaware State, stands out as a rare dual-threat who combines elite defensive intensity with reliable scoring. In the 2020 MEAC season, he was the Hornets' second-leading scorer (10.3 ppg) and top rebounder (6.3 rpg), ranking eighth in the conference for rebounds, while also delivering a game-changing 4-block performance against Loyola (MD). His differentiator is his unmatched defensive fire—evidenced by his 4-block game—and his ability to reach double figures in scoring consistently, including a 15-point outing vs. Jacksonville State. Unlike typical forwards, Bennett brings a high-intensity personality and a versatile skill set that makes him a perfect fit for teams needing a physical presence who can also score. With no reported injury history and a reputation for relentless effort, he is a must-watch athlete whose impact transcends stats.
