Manuale Watkins was Arkansas’ steady glue guy: defense, poise, and clutch timing
In the 2016-17 season, Manuale Watkins gave Arkansas a veteran 6-3 guard who impacted games beyond the box score, averaging 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while piling up 172 assists against just 74 turnovers in his career. He stood out for defensive disruption, late-game poise, and a sneaky reliable jumper — after going 0-of-8 from three early in his career, he finished strong from deep and hit a road game-winner at South Carolina. If a team wants toughness, intelligence, and low-drama winning habits, Watkins fits beautifully.
