Ieasia Walker brings South Carolina veteran poise, defense, and two-way grit
Walker was a tone-setting guard for South Carolina, and in her senior 2012-13 season she averaged 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals while earning SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Her calling card was disruptive defense, leadership, and doing the dirty work that wins games; she also finished her Gamecock career among the program’s leaders in steals, assists, and starts. If you value toughness, selflessness, and a guard who impacts the game beyond scoring, she fits beautifully.
