Dontay Mayfield Gives Duquesne a Developing Outside Threat
Dontay Mayfield’s profile is that of a young, ascending wideout who earned playing time in 10 games last season and flashed with four catches for 62 yards, including his first career start in the finale, which suggests the Dukes trust him in bigger moments.[1] Listed at 6-1 and 215 pounds, he brings a bigger frame than the typical slot receiver, giving Duquesne a potential possession target with room to grow as a more reliable chain-mover and red-zone option.[4][1] The main reason to care: he already has game experience, size, and a clear path to a larger role if his route consistency and separation continue to improve.[1][4]
