Troy Johnson brings Iowa a reliable, physical linebacker presence
Johnson’s value is in his steady, assignment-sound play at linebacker: ESPN lists him with 37 solo tackles, plus a sack, forced fumble, and interception, showing he can contribute across all three levels of defense. His profile suggests a tough, versatile defender rather than a flashy stat compiler, and Iowa’s system tends to reward players who are disciplined, physical, and reliable in space. If you want a linebacker who can fit a structured defense and make clean, trustworthy plays, Johnson is worth a look.
