6-foot-4 RHP Matteo Pare brings a live arm and starter traits to Troy
Pare is a big, projectable right-hander whose appeal is his easy mound delivery, repeatable mechanics and a pitch mix that already flashes swing-and-miss potential, especially with a fastball/changeup foundation. In his junior-college seasons before Troy, he logged useful innings with strikeout production, and scouting reports praised his ability to fill the zone and control his body; the main watch-out is command consistency, as his early Troy sample shows some traffic. He looks like a fit for a program that values size, pitchability and upside over instant polish.
