Quinnipiac freshman RHP Ethan Freed flashes strikeout upside, but command is still the story
In the 2026 season, Ethan Freed made 8 appearances for Quinnipiac and struck out 14 batters in 12.2 innings, a solid early sign for a first-year right-hander with bat-missing juice. His swing-and-miss ability is the hook; the growth area is command, with 12 walks and a 5.68 ERA showing he’s still sharpening the zone. Quinnipiac lists him as a 6-foot, 180-pound RHP from Spring-Ford, and he profiles as a developmental arm with enough arm talent to be intriguing if your staff can polish the control.
