Stetson Hatters' Towering F/C from the Late '90s Era
Steve Hoffert, a 6'8", 225-pound forward/center for the Stetson Hatters from 1997-2000, was a physical presence in the paint during his freshman-to-junior campaigns, bringing rebounding tenacity and interior scoring punch to a mid-major squad—think relentless blue-collar grinder with old-school post intensity. No standout national rankings, but his size and motor made him a reliable differentiator for Stetson; injury-free run suggests durability. Fun fact: he's ancient history by 2026 standards, but a solid 'fit' for teams craving vintage big-man hustle in retro leagues or alumni games—care if you love throwback hoops tales!
