Jason Meehan brings proven NIU edge pressure and disruptive backfield production
Meehan has been a high-impact defensive end for Northern Illinois, leading the Huskies with 7 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss in the cited season while adding 48 tackles overall, which points to real finishing ability and not just flash. [5] At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, he profiles as a lean, active pass rusher with enough range to chase plays and enough production to matter in a rotation or starting role. [1][5] The recruiting profile grades him as a 2-star prospect, so his value is less about hype and more about dependable disruption and motor-driven impact. [1]
