6-foot-6 two-way arm Tyler Guerin gives Iowa real Friday-night upside
In the 2026 season, Tyler Guerin showed why Iowa kept giving him big-game chances: as a 6-foot-6 RHP/1B, he delivered swing-and-miss stuff, worked as a Friday starter, and flashed two-way value with a solid outing against Florida Atlantic and a save in relief earlier in his Iowa career. The catch is command and run prevention have been inconsistent, so he looks more like a high-upside, projectable fit than a finished product. If you want size, competitiveness, and a pitcher who can also help at the plate, he’s worth a close look.
