Versatile, high-motor WSU linebacker who made plays all over the field
Alex Hoffman-Ellis was a rugged, productive Washington State linebacker who, in the 2011 season, started all 12 games, posted 88 tackles, earned Second-Team All-Pac-12 honors, and showed rare playmaking for a linebacker with 4 career interceptions and 2 pick-sixes at WSU. He fits the mold of a tough, instinctive defender who can diagnose quickly, tackle reliably, and spark a defense with intensity and big-moment flashes; he also brought track-and-field athleticism from Moorpark, which helps explain his range and closing burst.
