Greg Gaines III is Rhode Island’s go-to chain-mover with alpha size and captain-level trust
In the 2025 season, Greg Gaines III emerged as Rhode Island’s top receiving threat, posting 65 catches for 1,018 yards and 4 touchdowns while serving as a team captain and starting wideout. At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, he brings an NFL-ish frame, reliable hands, and a proven ability to win downfield and in traffic; URI’s 2025 notes also point to his leadership and “first-year” impact after transferring in. He looks like a strong fit for teams wanting a polished, physical receiver who can quickly become a trusted target and locker-room tone-setter.
