UC Davis’ quick-strike playmaker and Big West star
Shorts was a dynamic UC Davis guard whose 2023-24 college profile was built on scoring efficiency, playmaking, and late-game control: ESPN listed him at 15.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 50.9% shooting in his college stats profile, and UC Davis notes he finished games with big-shot confidence and high assist totals. He stands out for elite pace, toughness, and creativity in a small frame, which makes him valuable if you want a poised lead guard who can create offense without needing the ball all the time; he also carried major recognition by winning Big West Player of the Year.
