Sam Brown brings Duquesne a stout, ready-to-hit linebacker with local roots
Brown is a Pittsburgh-area linebacker who gives Duquesne a physical, reliable presence at the second level, with listed size around 6-foot-1 and 215 pounds on the Dukes’ 2023 roster and 6-foot-0, 220 pounds on the 2026 roster.[1][2] He stands out more for traits than splashy box-score production: local toughness, compact build, and a defensive profile that suggests he fits best in a scheme that values downhill run support and steady effort over pure highlight-chasing. If a team wants a linebacker who looks built for contact and adds depth with a strong football background, Brown is the kind of no-drama pickup that quietly helps a defense.[1][2]
