Southern Miss veteran DB with deep program roots
Corey Hosey appears to be a longtime Southern Miss defensive back whose value is less about flashy box-score production and more about experience, continuity, and knowing the program’s standard; Southern Miss’s record books list him across the 1999-2003 span, which signals a veteran presence rather than a current on-field stat profile. If you’re looking for a roster fit, he profiles as the kind of steady, program-built defender who can help with communication, alignment, and maturity—useful traits for a secondary, even when the headline numbers don’t jump off the page.
