Axel Mpoyo brings veteran size, efficient finishing, and steady rebounding to Grambling State
Axel Mpoyo profiles as a 6-foot-8 forward whose game has been built on interior efficiency, rebounding, and low-drama reliability. In the 2018-19 season at Grambling State, he averaged 7.5 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 56.7% from the field and 47.2% from three, a rare blend of size and touch that gives him lineup flexibility. Earlier in the 2017-18 season, he posted 7.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, showing consistent board work. He fits teams that value experienced frontcourt depth, toughness, and a player who can do the unglamorous work without needing the spotlight.
