a rangy, high-IQ forward with proven shooting and hustle
Smeathers’ most useful trait is his blend of perimeter shooting and effort: as a high school senior, he averaged 12.8 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 49.7% from the field and 35.9% from three, and he was noted for doing the “little things” like rebounding and hustle. He also earned Academic All-Summit League recognition, which points to a disciplined, coachable profile that fits teams needing a reliable role player rather than a high-usage scorer. The catch: the available stats are older, so his current form at Purdue Fort Wayne isn’t well documented in the sources provided.[1]
