Portland State guard Deante Strickland brings steady two-way value and shot-making
Deante Strickland is a compact, productive guard whose profile is built on balanced scoring, secondary playmaking, and disruptive defense; in the 2018-19 season he averaged 7.0 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 35% from three, and across his Portland State career he posted 7.4 points per game in 65 games.[1][5] What makes him interesting for a team is the mix of competitiveness and versatility: he can handle the ball, hit enough outside shots to keep defenses honest, and create extra possessions with steals.[1]
