Hawaii’s Rigo Sanchez Is a Steady, NFL-Tested Leg With Kicker-Coverage Value
In the 2026 season, Rigoberto Sanchez is listed as Hawai‘i’s place-kicking specialist, but the biggest reason to care is his rare blend of experience, consistency, and proven big-game calm from years as an NFL kicker/punter with Indianapolis. He brings a specialist’s edge: compact, reliable mechanics, field-position value, and the kind of competitive toughness that coaches trust when games get tight. If you want a roster fit who can stabilize special teams and handle pressure without drama, Sanchez is exactly that kind of grown-up in the room.
