a depth-linebacker with a physical, high-IQ edge at WKU
Mario Wright II has been a low-volume contributor for Western Kentucky, with ESPN showing just 1 tackle in the 2020 season, so the public stat trail is thin[1]. What stands out more is his recruitment profile: WKU beat out 12 other programs for him, including Syracuse, Colorado State, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois, which signals real interest in his upside[2]. The best fit is a team that values toughness, football IQ and developmental patience over immediate box-score splash[2][15].
