Delaware State’s RB with Elite Speed and 9.8 YPC in 2025
While listed as Jaashawn Jones, the standout RB for Delaware State is actually James Jones—a 6-2, 205-pound junior from Baltimore who delivered a 2025 season with 958 rushing yards and 9 TDs on an eye-popping 9.8 yards per carry [3][4][5]. His differentiator isn’t just speed; it’s explosive intensity and a rare ability to turn minimal contact into massive gains, as seen in Delaware State’s 281-yard, 5-TD game vs. a top-12 FCS team [6]. He spent 2024 at ULM, showing adaptability and resilience. No major injury history reported, and his personality is described as fiercely competitive and team-oriented [9]. You should care because he’s a game-changer who elevates any offense with elite burst and consistency. For your team? Absolutely—he’s a high-fit RB if you value speed, reliability, and big-play potential.
