Physical Manhattan guard with real board work, but health has slowed the climb
In the 2023-24 season, Brett Rumpel showed the kind of all-around guard game that pops on film: 31.0 minutes per game, 9.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists, with a strong 80.0% free-throw mark. He’s a 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior guard from Binghamton who brings size, toughness, and a willingness to do the dirty work, but his 2025-26 impact has been limited by a knee issue and a very small sample. If you want a sturdy, battle-tested combo guard with some rebounding juice and upside as a connector, he’s interesting; if you need a high-usage creator right now, the fit is less obvious.
