low-minute Southern guard with some shooting touch
In the most recent available Southern stats, DeRias Johnson has been a bench guard who gives the Jaguars short-rotation production, averaging 3.1 points, 1.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game while shooting 36.0% from the field and 36.0% from three in the 2023-24 season data shown by ESPN. His main differentiator is that he can contribute a bit of everything without needing the ball for long stretches, which makes him useful as a steady depth piece rather than a high-usage scorer. If your team needs a quick, low-drama guard who can slot into a supporting role, he fits that profile well.[2]
