Shawan Lewis brings proven pass-rush production and veteran size to Albany’s front
A senior defensive lineman for Albany, Shawan Lewis has a strong track record as an impact disruptor, posting 45 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks in 2023 before adding three tackles in 2025. His best trait is clear in the tape-backed production: he can win off the edge with burst and plays with a high-motor, aggressive style that showed up in a state-leading 17-sack high school season and later at the FCS level. At 5-foot-11 and 250 pounds, he is a compact, physical fit for a team that values leverage and effort over prototype length.
