Mariel Cooper brings proven veteran DB production and ball disruption
Mariel Cooper is a battle-tested Citadel defensive back whose value shows up in the little things: in his 2015 season he played 12 games with 11 starts, posted 30 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, eight pass breakups, and one interception, a profile that points to active coverage skills and physical run support. His differentiator is versatility and disruption rather than flashy counting stats, making him the kind of secondary piece coaches trust in tough, assignment-heavy defenses.
