Jakaiya Mack brings two-way grit and veteran poise to WSSU’s backcourt
A senior guard for Winston-Salem State, Jakaiya Mack has been a steady two-way force, leading the Rams in key stretches with scoring, rebounding, and disruptive defense. In the 2024-25 season, she played 27 games and started 18, and the program credited her with 199 points, 91 rebounds, 42 assists, and 61 steals; she was also named to the 2024-25 All-CIAA preseason team and has been praised for her energy, press-break stability, and “spark” on both ends. She looks like the kind of tough, high-motor fit who raises a team’s floor fast.
