High-Motor Frontcourt Piece with Defensive Juice and Rebounding Touch
Awa Keita is best viewed as a role-player forward whose value comes from effort, rebounding, and defensive activity more than scoring volume; in her most recent Southern Illinois season, she played only four games because of injury and averaged 0.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in 5.5 minutes per game, which makes her current health and availability the key swing factor. Her Mali youth/national-team track record shows she has long been a productive rebounder, especially at U17 level, and that points to a player who can bring energy, physicality, and low-maintenance frontcourt depth if she stays on the floor.[4][2]
