Missouri’s hometown back with speed pedigree and upside
Mario Whitney arrives at Missouri as a freshman RB from Jackson, Missouri, listed at 6-0, 185 and already known for elite speed from his high school track background, which helped make him a top in-state prospect with a 4-star/No. 103 national ranking and No. 11 RB ranking in his recruiting class[1][11][13]. The fit is intriguing because he brings explosive playmaking and local pride, but as a young back he still has to prove he can handle the college grind and earn meaningful snaps in a crowded backfield[1][2].
