Anthony Wells brings veteran NIU interior presence and proven disruption
Anthony Wells, a Northern Illinois defensive tackle, has a long track record of production — his career stats at NIU show 75 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks across 2010-2013 — which points to a player who can anchor the interior and create negative plays. He’s the kind of lineman who adds toughness, leverage, and experience, with a reputation built on steady disruption rather than flash, making him a fit for a defense that values gap control, physicality, and dependable effort.
