UL Monroe Freshman Dean Hannah: High-Intensity Power Hitter with Elite High School Pedigree
Dean Hannah, a 6'0", 215-lb freshman first baseman for UL Monroe, brings a rare blend of high school dominance and raw power to the Warhawks. After posting a staggering .483 batting average with 5 HR and 50 RBI as a 4A THSCBA All-Star at China Spring High (TX) in 2024, he transitioned to college with a 7.63-second 60-yard dash, showcasing surprising speed for his size [1][2]. While his 2026 freshman season stats are modest (.136 BA, 3 hits in 12 games) as he adjusts to D1 pitching [5][6], his differentiator is his intense, physical approach and proven ability to drive the ball; he isn't just a stat-line player but a high-energy competitor who draws attention with his 'Breakthrough Boyz' mentality [4]. For a team needing a power-first baseman who can also run, Hannah is a high-upside fit worth developing, provided you can weather his early college adjustment period.
