No. 1 EDGE Prospect Commits to Ohio State, Georgia Legacy with Elite Traits
DJ Jacobs (often listed as David Jacobs), the 2027 class's No. 1 overall prospect per 247Sports, committed to Ohio State on Dec. 29, 2025, as a 6-5, 235-pound EDGE from Blessed Trinity Catholic (Roswell, GA)—not a current Georgia Bulldogs NT but a high school phenom with violent hand usage, quick-twitch athleticism, and elite bend that destroys blocks. With UGA ties (dad played there, godfather Mark Richt), he's a game-wrecker whose playmaking dominated a 30-2 win; perfect fit for teams needing disruptive pass rush intensity over nose tackle bulk.
