Penn’s Resilient QB with Ivy-League Grit and 782-Yard Drive
John Quinnelly, Penn Quakers’ #6 QB from Daphne, AL, delivered 782 passing yards and 3 TDs in the 2021 season despite starting only five games amid COVID disruptions. His differentiator isn’t just stats—it’s his intensity: he led Penn’s first game since 2019, showing unmatched composure under pressure. Though the 2024 team sat 0-3 in Ivy play with him out, his 2025 roster presence (6-4 team, 4th in Ivy) signals recovery. Quinnelly’s Alabama roots fuel a gritty, no-quit personality; he thrives in high-stakes moments, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a QB who leads with heart, not just arm strength. Injury history is minimal, but his 2024 absence highlights the team’s reliance on his leadership.
