Freshman walk-on QB Sean Sutherland adds depth to Delaware’s quarterback room
In 2026, Sean Sutherland is a freshman quarterback at Delaware who joined the Blue Hens as a walk-on, so his value is less about flashy stat lines right now and more about developmental upside, roster depth, and being in the room to learn the offense[1][2]. Delaware lists him at 6-foot-2, 184 pounds, and the staff’s preseason quarterback preview placed him behind a crowded group that includes Tyler Bell, which signals he’s currently a project with a path to climb if he develops quickly[1][2].
