Grambling’s 6'4" catcher John Delgadillo brings pro-caliber size and a power frame
John Delgadillo is a right-handed catching prospect for Grambling State with a pro-style build at 6'4", 230 pounds, and his profile suggests real upside behind the plate thanks to that size and strength base. In 2026, his roster listing and transaction log show he was activated by Grambling State on February 9, then assigned to Burlington Sock Puppets on June 24, which points to continued development and outside interest in his tools. He’s the kind of catcher teams eye for physicality, projection, and defensive presence rather than flashy stat-line noise.
