Anthony Cruz brings Temple a long, rangy safety with veteran size
Anthony Cruz is a redshirt senior safety for Temple in the 2026 season, listed at 6-2 and 195 pounds, which gives him the frame to play physically near the box and match up well in coverage. Temple’s roster identifies him as a veteran defensive back from Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and that experience matters: he looks like a steady, mature piece rather than a splashy stat-sheet star. If you need a safety with length, toughness, and grown-man seasoning, he’s the kind of fit that can quietly make a secondary better.
