Rubio is a massive, experienced defensive lineman whose best trait is anchoring the run game with heavy hands, leverage, and enough quickness to collapse pockets when he gets loose. In 2025, he played in six games and made five starts before an injury shut him down, finishing with 13 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a pass breakup; across his Notre Dame career he totaled 66 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble.[6][9] Scouts have viewed him as stronger against the run than as a pure pass rusher, but his size, toughness, and flashes of disruption make him a useful fit for a team needing interior physicality.[4][18]
