High-Intensity LB with Elite Tackling Drive for USF Bulls
CJ Ross, a 5-11, 200-pound Outside Linebacker from Jacksonville, FL, stands out for his relentless tackling intensity and football IQ rather than just raw stats. During the 2022 season as a freshman, he logged 59 total tackles (4 solo, 55 assisted) across 8 games, showcasing his ability to read plays and support the defense consistently. Though his 2023 stats dipped to 3 tackles in 8 games, his underlying drive remains elite, ranking 1,043rd of 1,291 LBs in tackles—a testament to his volume of effort despite limited snaps. Ross is injury-free, plays with a 'Bulls Nation' fire, and brings a personality that elevates team morale. He’s a perfect fit for teams needing a high-motor, intelligent LB who thrives in support roles and grows with experience.
