Massive, Pro-Level Left-Tackle Frame with NFL-Appeal Upside
Knips stands out as a 6-foot-8, 290-pound offensive lineman whose sheer length and tackle build give South Dakota State a high-upside protector with pro-style traits; he was already viewed as a starter on an FCS playoff team and later drew NFL camp interest, which signals legitimate talent beyond the box score. His best selling point is positional value: big-frame pass protection, system fit at the edge, and a profile that can appeal to teams looking for a developmental OL who brings size, experience, and scoutable upside.
