AJ Brathwaite Jr. brings playmaking upside and veteran-ball instincts to WKU’s secondary
Brathwaite is a proven Western Kentucky defensive back with ball skills and experience, highlighted by a 2021 Conference USA Honorable Mention nod and a Co-Defensive Player of the Week award. In 2022, he was limited by injury to eight appearances but still produced an early interception, 17 tackles, and a season-high six stops in the finale, suggesting he can flash when healthy. For a team, he looks like a smart fit if you want a DB with proven turnover ability, steady tackling, and the competitive edge to impact a secondary without needing the spotlight.[1]
