Reliable legs, proven clutch: Ben VonGunten brings veteran kicking value to Ball State
Ben VonGunten is a graduate-student kicker with proven game-winning range and a strong track record before Ball State: at Indiana Wesleyan, he made 36 field goals, averaged 41.3 yards per punt, and earned two-time All-American honors plus five all-conference nods. In the 2022 season, he already showed he can swing tight games, drilling key field goals of 22, 25, 31, 34, 38, 44, and 47 yards for Ball State. The fit is obvious: if a team wants a composed, experienced specialist with multi-phase value, he’s the kind of steady, clutch weapon you keep on speed dial.
