Chatia Kelsey brings Memphis a proven guard scorer with hometown familiarity
Kelsey is a Memphis-born guard who profiles as a steady, experienced perimeter piece: in the 2025-26 season at Indiana State, she averaged 15.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists while starting 15 of 32 games, showing she can handle meaningful usage and create offense[3][8][9]. Her value goes beyond the box score—Memphis’ official roster notes her local ties and prior college experience, which usually translates to quicker adaptation and a lower risk profile for fit, chemistry and role acceptance[7][9].
