steady, pass-first guard who makes New Mexico State tick
Shaun Davis is a compact, low-ego floor general whose value comes from pace control, distribution, and feel rather than flashy scoring. In his New Mexico State season, he posted 7.2 points, 2.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 42.8% from the field and 32.6% from three, a profile that suggests a dependable connective guard who can stabilize an offense and compete defensively. The fit question is simple: if a team needs a tough, experienced organizer who does the little things and won’t hijack possessions, Davis belongs on the shortlist.
