Giovanna Lynch brings pitching depth and upside to UIC after a rough but experience-building 2025 season
Lynch is a right-handed pitcher whose value is in adding rotation depth and developmental upside to the Flames, not in shiny recent numbers: in 2025 at West Georgia she made five appearances and two starts, logging 5.0 innings with a 19.60 ERA, but UIC’s transfer announcement highlights that she also brings offensive production from her earlier stop, including 33 runs, four doubles, two triples, two home runs and 13 RBIs. She looks like a classic change-of-program, change-of-role candidate—worth caring about for her arm strength, versatility and the chance to reset in a new environment.
